YOMUD FELTS

Energy spirals, earth coloured felt. The Yomud nomads from Turkmenistan have been using these felts for thousands of years. This population was the only custodian of a technique – now lost – of making a different design on each side of the carpet: one for everyday use, the other for important occasions and special guests.
